Escorted Ashes Transportation

About this service and why I only require a set donation to charity for its use

I provide a service for funeral homes in South Devon whereby ashes are transported in an adapted black or white Range Rover by an experienced driver in formal funeral attire, who also acts as the carrier. Further, the ashes will never leave the sight or control of the driver/carrier.

The ashes in their container are placed on a purpose-built deck fitted to a catafalque which is draped in purple crushed velvet. A pale blue or a pale pink crushed velvet drape can be used for the ashes of a baby or an infant if preferred. Framed photographs can be displayed at the bottom of the catafalque, together with other tributes if required and the area can also be lit.

Boxes and urns of any shape and made from any material such as ceramic, glass, cardboard or wood, will be safely and securely held onto the deck using my specially-adapted adjustable bier pins. There will be four bier pins in total holding the box or urn. Only two are shown in each of the above photographs, to act as a visual aid to my secure holding system.

Like my alternative hearse services, I do not require payment for this service. I only ask that a set charitable donation is made to Torbay Bikers for Kids (Registered Charity No: 1200973) who raise funds to purchase essential items that will help improve the lives and/or education of children who are disabled or severely ill, living in Torbay and the surrounding area. 225+ children have been helped from donations.

There is a choice of either a black or a white adapted Range Rover to safely transport the ashes
