There was much speculation about what type of vehicle it would be, when Buckingham Palace announced that Prince Philip would be conveyed to his place of interment at Windsor Castle in a Land Rover. It was in fact a green Defender 130 with an open-top deck and I have it on good authority it was manual transmission, so well done to the driver and what an honour.
