This week we assisted at the military funeral service for WW2 veteran Joan Babbage who passed away just days before her 99th birthday in Torquay. Joan was in the Auxiliary Territorial Service (A.T.S.) during WW2 and carried out secret missions in Europe. Royal British Legion flag bearers were in attendance and local news cameras recorded it, subsequently being shown on BBC Spotlight and ITV West Country News that evening. The picture shows photos of Joan and her medals, a wreath from the RBL, together with our own Union flag draped behind.
